REACH - The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of
Chemicals - gives greater responsibility to the European chemicals industry to manage the risk from chemicals and to provide safety information on these substances. As chemical manufacturers, suppliers and customers accross Europe and beyond will be affected by REACH, understanding this new regulation is critical. Zeochem will implement this new regulations dilingently and in a timely manner.

Zeochem appointed one only representative according the REACH Regulation and pre-registered its two product lines:

1. zeolites (EINECS 215-238-8; CAS 1318-02-1)

2. synthetic amorphous silicas; silica gel
    (EINECS 231-545-4; CAS 7631-86-9)

The pre-registration will allow Zeochem to serve customers after December 1, 2008 in the usual way. The registration of the two above mentionned product lines is under preparation and will be effected in due corse and within the time schedule as published by REACH.

Zeochem AG erhält europäisches Auszeichnung für ihren Einsatz zur CO2Reduktion

Der Chemiewerkplatz Uetikon hat sich 1992 verpflichtet, das RESPONSIBLE CARE Programm zu unterstützen. Dies bedingt u.a. mit den Ressourcen sorgfältig umzugehen, einen hohen Sicherheitsstandard aufzubauen und Massnahmen auf dem Gebiet des Umweltschutzes umzusetzen.

Zeochem AG hat in den letzten Jahren sehr viel unternommen um Energie zu sparen und die CO2 Emissionen zu reduzieren. Im vergangenen Winter stellte die Zeochem AG ihre erreichten Resultate im Wettbewerb " European Responsible Care Award 2009" vor. Zeochem AG erhielt eine Auszeichnung für ihre hervorragenden Anstrengungen. Die Jury schreibt in ihrem Bericht:" Zeochem AG führt ein Langzeitprojekt zur Reduktion der CO2 Emission durch. Das Projekt ist sehr gut dokumentiert und in der lokalen Presse kommentiert worden. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein anspruchsvolles Projekt".
