Ca exchanged 13X molecular sieve is a powerful adsorbent for the removal of traces of N2O and light Hydrocarbons in air pre-purification units. If such compounds are not removed, then they accumulate in the cold-box and pose an explosion hazard. This is particularly true in more poluted environments.
